Dark Sea Yarn currently offers six bases:
Guide Boat : 100% superwash merino fingering weight. 370 yds per skein.
Runabout: 80% merino 20% nylon blend fingering weight. 370 yds per skein.
Kayak: 80% eco-processed merino, 20% recycled nylon. 370 yds per skein.
Cabin Cruiser: 100% non-superwash fine merino. Worsted/Aran weight, 219 yds per skein.
Yacht: 80% Extrafine superwash merino, 10% Mulberry Silk, 10% Cashmere. 437 yds per skein.

Catamaran: 100% Eco Processed Organic Merino, light worsted weight. 185 yds per skein.
Schooner: 100% superwash merino, light DK weight. 265 yds per skein.

Color Categories:
Annual Themed Collection: 2023’s Collection is called EchoLocation, and is a collaboration with artist Bob Murdock. Each colorway is inspired by one of his landscape photographs.
Permanent Collection: Signature colors that will make an appearance every year, regardless of themed collections. Dark Sea Yarn likes to give back, so each color in the permanent collection will have a designated charity to which a percentage of the sales will be donated.
Castaways: WILSONNNNN! These are sailing away fast because there’s only one (or a small batch). Experiments, one-offs, dye-pot cleansers, previous collection leftovers. Perfect for a small project.
*A Note About Dye Lots: There really aren’t any. I have one pot, which means two skeins max at a time. I have recipes, but as is the case with most hand dyed yarn, please expect some variation due to human influence/error.
IMPORTANT ALLERGY INFORMATION: Dark Sea Yarn shares a home with a cat. While the cat is mostly kept away from the yarn, it’s a small shared space and there is some inevitable contact. If you have a severe cat allergy, this yarn is not for you at this time.
